Aims
The Internet and its relation to Time and other global aspects.
The world is living the very same instant/moment despite daylight or night,
despite cultural differences, despites development levels.
At this very same instant there will be different times (as in time zones)
At this very same instant there will be different conception of what is
consider fashion or what is timeless
At this very same instant there will be different levels of technology,
so what would be consider as a big step of our times in western culture,
it can be completely unknown in others regions of the world.
The Internet develops
in the idea of “the very same instant/moment”. The Internet is
creating a global culture in which time zones, culture and development levels
are not a barrier to access or to be accessed, provide you have the technology
and knowledge.
Because of this development, it is being recognised that we are all becoming
one community known as a ‘global village’. The interesting aspect
of this ‘global village’ is how time still plays a major role
in its evolution. The global village is as dynamic because of this.
The Internet as an entity has almost removed barriers of time.
Banners
>> Through out the site there are clocks implying the importance of
time in the internet. One of the them are showing just the milliseconds reflecting
the idea that you never catch up with technology. The other is showing the
time the person is staying in our page.
>>We suppose to go through different events in life. You get your birthdays
once a years, you are suppose to be married at thirty, maybe not but every
one will get in love sooner or later in their lives…..Also the idea
that we go through al those stages at different times in our own lives e g:
doing a degree at 18 or at 25
The feeling that we have about time changes depending on how enjoyable or
not is what we are going through
>>On one hand we have that faster is better: downloading time
On the other we have that slower is better: Wozzeck from Alan Berg
