Aims

Human in a non-human environment: Human mental processes are difficult to map into digital environment. The density of our behaviour and relations complex in the way that this reflects into our mind.

We choose death and dream as related human condition. Death and dreams may cross paths in the dream environment, as we experience the dream event we may in a way also experience our own death during our sleeping hours. It is said that when you die you experience your own life in the form of dream like flashbacks.

We have tried to reflect in a none human medium the human conditions of dream like thoughts. We were influenced by different surrealist artists such as H.R Giger and Salvador Dali, for our death web site. In the other web site we want to reflect the thoughts and feelings of a human. We did not want the human character to be human so we chose to represent the human in hologram form, so as to express the gap between humans and machine.

We were attracted to the idea of flash, and its use of working with movies within movies and the use of action script. We felt that the use of action script gave the web site a feeling of non human intelegence. It was a challenge for us to work in this process and we are pleased with the results.
